Governor Finitiri Reveals The Only President That Can End Boko Haram Terrorism In Nigeria
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has said that what Nigeria needs to end Boko Haram and other forms of insurgency is a President from the North East region.
He expressed confidence that within the first term of the presidency of a Nigerian from the North-East region, insurgency will become a thing of history in the country.
Governor Fintiri stated this on Thursday when he spoke at the 2021 North East Star Magazine awards where he was represented by his Chief of Staff, Professor Maxwell Gidado.
According to the Governor, a President from the North East will understand the situation and will easily tackle the situation.
The Governor further alleged that the administration of Muhammadu Buhari failed to give enough support to Lt.Gen Tukur Buratai when he was the country’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
“The Boko Haram insurgency will be wiped out in the first term of a president from the North East. It is a popular saying that he, who wears the shoe, knows where it pinches him. Lt. Gen. Buratai did his best when he was at the helm of affairs.
“If he had been given 100 per cent support, I want to believe, he would have snuffed out the terrorists in Sambisa forest” Governor Fintiri said.
