Heartland FC Undergoing Reformation, Re- Energization – GM Promise Nwachukwu
The athletic looking and gracefully tall and fair skinned acting General Manager of Heartland Football Club of Owerri has revealed the undercurrent and expectations in the all new Naze Millionaires.
Promise who exclusively spoke to the NewsTrack Nigeria hinted that the club is undergoing reformation, transformation and re-energization as he is working with all the stakeholders to ensure that decisions are right.
On what to expect, he said: ” At present, we are preoccupied with the art of reforming, transforming and re-energizing the club with more ambitious, skillful and experienced players who will deliver the goods.
“We have set our goals right. We seek to be at the zenith of the league and also look forward to joining distinguished clubs at the “Continental Party” where Imo name shall be sung on the lips of the Continent.
“We are not sleeping. The Governor has shown us love and we are grateful for considering our Darling Heartland FC among the priorities in the scheme of government programmes”.
Meanwhile, Nwachukwu who was known for his skillful playing and touchline magic revealed that the club is enjoying a lot of goodwill from various sections of the polity.
He was in company of an Ex- international, Chikelue Iloenyosi who is well grounded in development football.
Illoenyosi who expressed excitement said he was happy about Nwachukwu’s appointment though still on acting capacity. He said: “everyone has a role to play in so far as the club would have players who would convert strategies to result, the job will be easier”.
He said he was in Imo for usual grassroots football development and hunting. “I am also hear to know about the welfare of the some of the ex – internationals from the State.
“You are all aware of my passion and emotions towards the welfare of the people in this demographics. I am sure people are aware of 042 Football Legends Association in Nigeria, which its primary objective is to cater for troubled Ex- footballers.”
