Imo Former Speaker, Agwuocha Draws Battle line Against Governor Uzodimma Over APC Congress

– Vows To Join Forces Against Uzodimma To Achieve His Aim

The former speaker of Imo state house of assembly Rt. Noel Agwuocha yesterday 28th of October reportedly played host to a group people opposed to the Government of Imo state.

The delegation which was led by one Chris Okechukwu alias Yerima was warmly received by Noel in his Owerri residence.

Speaking during the meeting,the leader of the delegation stated clearly that their mission was to review the activities and policies of 3R Government of Imo as it concerns the management of party and resources.

He declared that no congress was conducted in the state and LGA and criticised the Governor for superintending over a sham process called congress.  He canvassed that  a strong worded petition be raised to national leadership of the party to cause a review of the situation in Imo state.

According to sources, one Kerian Amadi claimed that he already spoke with the national chairman Governor Mai Mala Buni who confirmed that the party never asked the Governor to take six positions from the LGA Executive. He quickly added that such was conspiracy by the Governor and  the IMC chairmen.

Contributing, One Anthony Odirichukwu reportedly criticised the quality of people who emerged as LGA officers of APC in Ahiazu. He said that the Governor has settled for mediocrity and as such should be opposed in Ahiazu.

He equally criticised the state Chairman of APC Hon. Macdonald Ebere as a never-do-well whose emergence as Chairman will be disastrous to the party in the state.

Reacting to their separate submissions, the former speaker thanked them for keying into the project and assured that  he will use his national contact and reach out to ensure that national leadership of party reviews the situation.

He added that the Governor is running the  affairs of party as a personal enterprise which must be opposed by all progressives.

The meeting which was allegedly sponsored by the member reprenseting Ahiazu mbaise constituency Hon. Sam Otuibe had in attendance Noel Agwuocha, Mike Anyanwu, Daniel Egere, Kerian Amadi, Anthony Odirichukwu, Anthony Anakani, Okechukwu Chris, Charles Ogbota, Nnanna Ugoh, Chinonye Nwoko, Uchenna Agomuo amongst others.

The meeting ended with a motion moved by one Charles Ogbota as the attendees were later hosted to a lavish lunch party by the former speaker.
