9,000 Lawyers Sign Petition Asking For A Remark Of AGF Malami’s Law School Exam Papers – Barr. Nwabufo

This was made known by a lawyer, Barrister Austin Nwabufo in a post on his official Twitter account @AustinNwabufo on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

He said; ”9,000 lawyers sign petition demanding the remarking of Malami’s law School exams papers, Malami cried in his office, suspect’s Akpata to be responsible for his travails”

Meanwhile, this is not the first time a petition would be launched against the Attorney-General.

In 2020, lawyers started signing a petition to strip Malami of the rank of senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

SAN is the highest rank for lawyers in Nigeria.

The petition followed the amendments the AGF made to the rules of professional conduct for legal practitioners (RPC), 2007.

The requirement for the NBA stamp and seal on court processes was removed in the amendment, creating room for non-lawyers to submit court processes.

In a petition filed by Izu Aniagu on www.change.org, Malami was accused of taking the decision alone, thereby constituting a threat to the rule of law.
