6 Days After: Ex – Deputy Gov’s Father Not Yet Freed By Kidnappers, As Women Groups Turn To God For Intervention
It is not less than six days since the abduction of the Traditional Ruler of Ezi-Mbieri Autonomous Community, Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State, HRH, Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere.
The Mbieri women leaders, Monday, thronged the palace of the kidnapped Traditional Ruler, praying to God for intervention.
The women who were dressed in black also called for unconditional release of their Traditional Ruler.
The Traditional Ruler was abducted on Friday, November 19, 2021 in Iho Community, Ikeduru local government area of the State.
He was said to have been travelling to a neighbouring community called Ochicha Ngugo in Ikeduru local government area of the State to attend the burial of the mother of his son-in-law before he was abducted on the way.
It was later learnt that he was kidnapped alongside his aide, Chief Abamezie Nnadi.
All effort to speak to any member of the family or any of the aides of the former Deputy Governor proved abortive.
Meanwhile, from other reliable source, it was revealed that Pa Madumere’s abductors are in touch with the family, as no revelation has been made as to know what Ransome is being requested
