Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Releases Communique After Meeting With Senator Akpabio

Over the weekend, a delegation of Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities, Youth groups and council heads met to chat the best way forward to improve their zone.

9News Nigeria crew reveales that issues that issues of governance and wellbeing of the zone were the front banners of the meeting which ended successful having issued the communique below.

Meanwhile the summary of the hit points at the meeting between Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Council heads and Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, Honourable Minister for Niger Delta affairs are stated below:

1.Constituting a substantive NDDC Board.

2.Completion of East-West Road project.

3.Employment and empowernment of Niger Delta youths.

4.Development of Niger Delta communities on a scale of preference basis.

5.Niger Delta youths to be included in processes of decision making/taking in Niger Delrlta affairs.

6.Unity of Niger Delta youths,to keep peace,and FG to hold their own end of sustaining the peace.

7.Continous meeting,to bridge the gap between the youths and the FG.

8.Making the Forensic Audit report public,and punishement for anyone indicted.

9.All round development of Niger Deltans and Niger Delta.

10.Supporting each other(Youths and Govt) to make Niger Delta better.

The meeting of Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities as convened over the weekend ended peacefully.
