TCN Installs Transformer, Circuit Breaker In Suleja Sub-station
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) yesterday said it will install a new 33kV current transformer and circuit breaker on its 30MVA 132/33kV power transformer in its Suleja 132/33kV Transmission Sub-station, Niger State today.
The General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah disclosed this in a press statement.
According to her, the installation works which will be carried out in-house by TCN’s maintenance Engineers will commence from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the same day.
The 45MVA, 132/33kV transformer 2 (TR2) in the same sub-station will be temporarily interrupted for two hours within the proposed 6-hour time frame to ensure safe work space.
Consequently, there will be a planned interruption of bulk power supply to AEDC through the Suleja Transmission Sub-station to enable TCN Engineers to carry out the installations. It is important to note that only 26MW supplied at 33kV to the Abuja Steel Company will be interrupted during the installation process.
TCN assures that supply will be restored through the sub-station after the Engineers have completed installation works.
