Ex – Heartland FC President Fulfills Promise To Imo Angels, Gives Out Jerseys, Other Football Kits
The former President of Heartland Football Club of Owerri and Chairman of Bashlyk’s Sports & Events Centre, Goodfaith Chibuzo Otuemela popularly known as Bash, has given out Sports kits to Imo Angels, one of the Frontline female football club in Owerri, Imo State.
The renowned Football administrator and Sports Promoter handed down the sports kits to the female football club, Saturday, December 11 in Owerri.
The International Sports Promoter said he has only fulfilled the promised he made to the female football club as part of his support to the players and the Management.
“I made this promise before the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, which abruptly affected every activities all over the world, crumbling businesses and grinding every social activities to a halt.
“I am happy I am fulfilling this promise today. I want to commend the management of this promising female club. Within one year of her existence, it is already winning laurels to the state. Let me congratulate you on your recent victory as the Winner of 2021 Queens Cup Competition. That was huge and unbelievable.
“The club I understand was founded on humanitarian ground; to give opportunity to the downtrodden and help them find a path that will uplift them and their family.
“This is my token of support. I am ready to go all hug to do what is possible to encourage you all. For you to go far, remain focused, discipline and determined to succeed and you will make it.”
Bash further call on the good spirited Nigerians to contribute to sports development and government alone cannot accomplish all.
He promised to rally support for sports development in the state and beyond by using his contacts and goodwill beyond the shores of the country.
In the package Otuaemela gave out was complete Jerseys with shorts and matching pairs of hoses.
Responding, the General Manager of Imo Angels FC, Chuks Dike thanked Bash for his kind gesture. He described the kits as quality, observing that no female club in the country can boast of the quality kits they received.
“It is because of this kind of selfless heart that guided you into making Heartland an ‘A’ Class side in the premiership league. Rest assured other opportunities will still present itself for you to showcase your expertise in sports development.
“We take you as one of our Catalysts. Please whenever we call again, please answer us”.
Dike used the opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed in one way or the other to the growth of Imo Angels, saying they will remembering them in their prayers.
