Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Scorecards Released After Brutal Rematch KO – Mirror

Jake Paul ensured the judges were not needed by knocking Tyron Woodley out in the sixth round of their rematch – although the scorecards show he was ahead at the time of the stoppage.

Jake Paul was on course for victory against Tyron Woodley – even before his brutal knockout win.

The judges looked almost certain to be required in their eight-round rematch before Paul pulled off a stunning one-punch knockout in the sixth round which left Woodley flat on the canvas.

The brutal stoppage handed Paul his fifth win and ended his rivalry with Woodley once and for all having won by split decision when they first met in August.

The scorecards from the bout have now been released, showing Paul had the edge with all three judges at the time of the stoppage.

James O’Connor had Paul 48-46 ahead, whilst Michael Ross and Efrain Lebron both scored it 49-46 after five rounds.

O’Connor gave Woodley the edge in rounds three and five, whilst Ross gave him the third and Lebron the first.

Otherwise, it was Paul – always fighting on the front foot – deemed to be in control of the contest before he ended things in style.

Paul had been due to take on Tommy Fury before he pulled out shortly before the fight with Woodley stepping in at two weeks’ notice.


Speaking in the ring after his win, a jubilant Paul hailed Woodley for stepping in at short notice to fight him for a second time.

“This is as real as it f***ing gets, just like my right hand,” said Paul. “I told you I was going to f*** him up and I f**ed him up.

“This guy is a legend, don’t take anything away from his career as a UFC champion and respect him for taking the fight on two weeks’ notice.

“He’s warrior, that was a tough fight right there, he’s a legend.”

Woodley did not need to be taken to hospital and addressed the media after his defeat.

“At some point you’ve got to start putting a little respect on Jake’s name,” he said.

“I never really disrespected him as a power puncher, that’s something we always knew that’s why my defence was so tight.

“Had he dropped his hands with me the same thing would have happened.”
