Seventh-Day Adventist Church Holds Ordination Service
The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Owerri North District, on Saturday, held its 2022 Ordination Service.
In the Church administration, annually, the church through a nomination committee selects those who will work in various units and departments for the forthcoming year.
The Church prays fervently during this nomination for the direction of the Holy Spirit.
The event took place during a special church service at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Owerri North District headquarters in Umuori, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.
The District Pastor, Ferdinand Nwosu, reminding the new elders and deacons what the God expected of them in service and character read from 1 Timothy chapter 3:1 to 7.
The newly ordained Elders of church are Uche Onwuchekwa Ogbonnaya and Igwe Nwadike from Umuoba and Egbu Branches respectively with another two deacons.
During prayers, the President of Imo Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Pastor Goodluck Alozie charged ordained officers to ensure they lead a life depicting that of The Lord Jesus Christ.
He emphasized the issue of having the zeal to subject oneself to prayers and study so as to defend the faith, which is rooted in only in the word of God and to teach to those who seek salvation, which the Lord Jesus Christ brings.
The President prayed for all the officers for God’s grace, guidance and gift of Holy Spirit for the task ahead.
