*TOPIC: GOD DOES NOT RESPECT PERSONS*

_“ And the Lord said to Moses, get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, and when you have seen it, you also shall die—for you disobey my commandment in the desert of Zin. (Numbers 27: 12-14)_

Many experiences of Godly people testify of God’s impartial judgement. God is not a respecter of persons but gives the same punishment or reward to people according to their works.
Moses, the servant of God and leader of the Israelites did not enter the promised land of Canaan because he disobeyed God’s instruction to him. God told Moses to speak to the rock to bring out water for the children of Israel and their animals to drink. But Moses, being filled with anger, hit the rock twice with the rod. Although water came out abundantly, yet God was angered because Moses “did not glorify Him before the people”
God is the eternal rock and hitting the rod on Him is a great dishonor. God did not overlook Moses’ sin because he was a great leader. He punished him by not allowing him to step into the promised land.
Thought of reflections
Are there ways you offend or disobey God, thinking that He overlooks your sin because of the high position/regards He has on you or because you are still a child?

Dear Lord, I thank you for your selfless love towards me. Help me to follow You faithfully. Forgive my wrongs and show me Your mercy forever in Jesus name, Amen.
