There Is No Division In Imo SWAN – Scribe
The Imo State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN has completely dismissed the information being speculated that there is division in the association in the State, describing it as false and unfounded.
In a statement issued in Owerri Wednesday by Imo SWAN at the end of their monthly congress and endorsed by the secretary Tunde Liadi, condemned the way and manner a certain person Saviola Godwin who claims to be a journalist with Ozisa FM, Owerri has been attempting to discredit the noble association, misleading the unsuspecting public, feeding them with false information that SWAN Imo Chapter has divisions.
The scribe said that the association deemed it necessary to correct the erroneous impression being crested that SWAN, Imo chapter has divisions.
He said: “SWAN, Imo State chapter is not having and has never had any issue or division but has always spoken as one indivisible entity and as a critical sports stakeholder not just here in Imo state but at the national level as well”.
The association insists that the said Saviola Godwin is not a member of SWAN, Imo chapter and so cannot speak about the activities of SWAN in Imo State.
He informed the general public that Saviola Godwin is impersonating SWAN and its members urging them not to deal with him on matters relating to SWAN.
The association equally asks the public to disregard his mischiefs and attempts to misinform the public.
SWAN however warned Saviola Godwin to immediately desist from such unguarded utterances about SWAN, adding that the noble Association will not tolerate a repeat of it either now or in the near future.
