Police Kill Four, Repel Terrorist Attacks In Katsina

Police in Kastina state have killed four terrorists and repelled others who attacked villagers in Kanyar Nagora – Kuka Sheka villages in Kankara Local Government and Tuga Gari village in Matazu Local Government areas of the state.

Spokesman of Katsina state Police Command, SP Gambo Isa who made the above disclosure while addressing newsmen at Police Headquarters on Saturday, said the terrorists were confronted following intelligent reports that they arrived in their motorbikes shooting sporadically with AK 47 riffles rustling cows while on their way into the forests

He said, “The DPO Kankara was quickly alerted to block their exit roots into Rugu Forest and a fierce gun duel ensued and the team successfully repelled the terrorists.

‘’Three terrorists were successfully neutralized, while seven cows were recovered.

“The area commander of Dutsinma led a team of Policemen to Yantumaki forest and recovered 32 cows and 23 Sheep, during another attack that took place in Tunga Gari in Matazu.”

A Notorious kidnapper who specialises in threatening the public through phone calls was also nabbed.

“The team successfully arrested one Jamilu Saidu of Jikamshi, a notorious kidnaper who specializes in calling unsuspecting members of the public and threatening them to pay ransom or risk being kidnapped”
