Imo Speaker Mourns Late Majority Leader, Hon. Onyirimba
The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Ibeh, has described the sudden death of former Majority Leader, Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Stanford Onyirimba as shocking.
The Speaker’s emotions over Onyirimba’s death was communicated via a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Ifeanyi Onyekachi.
Ibe said that Onyirimba was one of the finest parliamentarians whose impression still reverberates in Imo polity and cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
He said, ” it is with rude shock that I received the news of the sudden death of Rt. Hon. Stanford Onyirimba, one of the finest politicians in Imo State who represented Ehime Mbano State Constituency, at the beginning of this democratic dispensation between 1999 and 2007.
The late Rt. Hon. Member was an astute politician and a lawmaker of note who made an indelible mark in the history of IMHA as a fearless Majority Leader who stood with the people when it mattered most.
Although he passed on at a time when his political experience is mostly needed in our dear state and country, we cannot question the divine will of God whom it pleases to call him now.
We pray God to grant members of his immediate family, Ehime Mbano State Constituency, Okigwe South Federal Constituency, Okigwe Zone, Imo State and indeed his political associates, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
