BREAKING: EFCC Arrests Obiano At Lagos Airport On His Way To United States

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly arrested immediate past Anambra Governor Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

Obiano was said to have been arrested around 8.30 pm on Thursday.

It was gathered the former Governor was on his way to Houston, Texas in the United States.

He was arrested hours after he handed over to Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

EFCC had placed the ex-Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, on a watch list, a move described by the state government as laughable.

Since coming into office in 2013, Governor Obiano has never been linked with any scam or fraud-related controversy but his sudden placement on the EFCC watch list raises serious concern among his followers and political associates.
