Mothers Are Salt Of The Earth – Madumere

Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has extended his felicitations to Mothers on the auspicious occasion of Mother’s Day.

The former Deputy Governor and Knight of St. Christopher of Anglican Church extended his goodwill message in a press release by his Adviser on Media and Publicity, Uche Onwuchekwa.

He called Mothers Salt of the earth, saying that a world without women will be tasteless.

According to the statement, Prince Madumere said: “Women are special gifts. When God realized that man was lonely, He created them as helpmates. And not only that, they are the heart, if not the nucleus of the family.

“When they become Mothers, their responsibilities become even much more tasking. They are the first in everything. Conceiving a child and carrying that baby for nine months is no child’s play.

“Despite the pains of child bearing, they begin to nurse, feed, teach and groom them to a level where he can now do things on his own. Mothers go hungry, refuse to change their wardrobe for their children to survive and succeed.

“For me, they are the true salt of the earth and without them, the world could not have been habitable.

“So, I celebrate my Mother, My Sweet Wife, other Mothers all over the world.

“I can only admonished them to stick to the old traditional way and should not follow the over-civilized woman who cares less about what becomes of her children and family generally.

“I call on fellow Fathers to make out time to celebrate their wives and give them a pride of place in their homes.

“There is beauty all around when there is love at home and this can only come when we allow our women have a voice and get appreciated fro their roles at home and in national development”.
