FIFA Officer Dies Of Heart Attack After Abuja Stadium Stampade
Joseph Kabungo, FIFA/ CAF Doping Control Officer in charge of the decisive Qatar 2022 Play Off between Nigeria and Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, is reportedly dead.
Though there is no official statement yet, the Zambian who was his country’s national team doctor when the Chipolopolo won the African Cup of Nations in 2020, reportedly suffered heart attack following the stampede at the Stadium after the ill-fated 1-1 draw between the Super Eagles and Black Stars at the match venue.
Kaboungo has been on the CAF medical team since 2013.
