Late ‘Ekwueme’ Singer Osinachi Husband Arrested

Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late popular gospel artiste, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been arrested by the police over her death.

The Nation reports Imo-born singer died at 42 last week.

She was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Church.

The Nation learnt Osinachi was hospitalised before her demise.

She reportedly spent days at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja.

Many of her colleagues, including Frank Edwards, Asu Ekiye and some others, had accused her husband of physical assaults on several occasions.

Different accounts of what the deceased went through in the hands of her husband became a subject matter on social media.

Ms Favour Made, elder sister of late Gospel singer Osinachi in a recent interview with Vanguard, blamed the deceased’s husband for her death.

Confirming Peter’s arrest, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh said: “He is now in our custody. The younger brother of the deceased reported the matter and we have commenced investigation.”
