Madumere Calls On Igbo Race To Rally Round Amaechi

Prince Eze Madumere, former Deputy Governor of Imo State who first took Amaechi’s story to the public like the John the Baptist has called on Igbos to rally round the Minister of Transportation as he has taken the challenge to occupy the Nigeria’s presidential seat.

Last Saturday, Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress had organised a Thanksgiving service, held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Igwuruta, near Port Harcourt. The event also provided a veritable atmosphere for Amaechi to declare his interest to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.

Congratulating Governor Amaechi, Prince Madumere commended him for taking the bold step, saying Amaechi has not only shown pragmatism but been extremely patriotic.

He describe Amaechi’s address as depiction of a “Man Who Knows Where He Is Going.”

He insisted that the ruling All Progressives Congress has kept its agreement by zoning Presidency to the South. “There is no doubt that power is coming to the South; it is also a truism that it is the turn of Ndị Igbo”, he stated.

Analysing Amaechi’s political odyssey, he commended him for his consciousness of not losing his compass despite his social mobility.

“It is not about the kind of politicians who have short memory. Amaechi understands principles of life, meaning of gratitude and what it means to live to tell a good story another day.

“It takes a man of gratitude and openness of mind to give credit to whom it’s due. At no point has Amaechi ever applied principle of denialism but would always speak the truth no Mather whose ox is gored. That is the leader Nigeria seek.

“Truly All Progressives Congress has laid a futuristic foundation for Nigeria’s greatness and it takes someone who understands it to continue and deliver on it.

“Understanding the tuff and the enduring capacity needed, Chibuike Amaechi is prepared physically and spiritually. I am sure he demonstrated that when he took all on a 400 meters race”, he stated.

He therefore called on Nigerians to rally round Amaechi since APC has opened up the political space for Ndị Igbo. “We cannot afford to miss the opportunity. The main opposition Peoples Democratic party has failed Nigeria and Ndị Igbo. We must use our bests who are acceptable, which Amaechi is one”,he appealed.

Meanwhile, he insisted that Igbo Nation can no longer continue to be scattered because of state creation and geo-political, a creation he said it’s for administrative convenience.
