NYSC DG Warns Corps Members In Katsina To ‘Be Security Conscious’

The Director General of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has charged 2022 Batch A, Stream 2 Corps members serving in Katsina State to be vigilant and report any unusual movement around them.
The DG who made the call while addressing the corps members and camp officials through nationwide address, said the times are precarious and dangerous and as such, they should always speak out when they see something unusual around them.
He further urged them not to stand on the roadside to board vehicles, as it is more secured to enter vehicles in designated motor parks.
He said, “All corps members should not take lift because they cannot know if the person offering the lift is a robber, kidnapper or a ritualist.
‘’ Corps members should also avoid negative use of the social media as offenders will be detected and sanctioned.’’
The DG also admonished corps members to leverage on the training they received in the orientation camps, as those activities will provide them with the required guiding principles in their life endeavours.
He reminded them of the existence of the COVID-19 pandemic, urging them to adhere strictly to the various safety measures and get themselves vaccinated, in addition to always obeying constituted authorities in their various places of assignments.
