17-year-old herder, 4 cows killed in Plateau
17-year-old Buhari Muhammad has been killed around Rangyel community of Bassa LGA of Plateau State.
Four cows were also killed and injuries inflicted on five others in the incident.
The State Chairman of Gan Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Abdullahi Garba, confirmed the incident.
According to him, the body of the deceased was recovered by the police.
The Nation reports that the latest incident came few days after two members of the Irigwe ethnic group were killed in a convoy of the member representing Jos North/Bassa constituency, Musa Agah.
Garba explained that Muhammad was attacked when he took his cattle to graze and the gunmen suddenly opened fire on him.
However, ASP Gabriel Ogaba, the spokesman of the police in the state, told The Nation that he was yet to get the information.
