Abaezi Carnage: ACCORD Regrets Abaeze Deaths, Blames It On APC, PDP Years Neglect, Misrule

The Accord, one of the frontline political parties in Nigeria has expressed empathy towards the families of over one hundred Imo people who painfully died from an inferno.

The State Chairman of the party, Elder ThankGod Ibe, who spoke for the party described the deaths as a carnage that could have been prevented at all costs.

While not supporting the act of sabotage, Ibe insisted that the cause cannot be unconnected with many years of neglect and poor governance from the ruling All progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic party that have misruled the state for many years.

His statement read in parts; “Abaezi Community in Ohaji-Egbema and other oil-bearing communities have suffered neglect for many years. The teeming youths, including graduates, have been allowed to remain rusty and unemployed, creating room for crimes and other vices to occupy their minds. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop”, he said.

He called on the government of the day to stop apportioning blames and find a solution to the myriad problems in the state, saying the cause of the present state of anarchy in the state cannot be far from mishandling and cluelessness.

He, therefore, called on the people of the state to review their stance and look for a solution where they may find one, describing those managing the affairs of the state as spent in the area of ideas and the modern approach to governance and administration.

He called for a radical change in the voting pattern, promising that ACCORD will change the narrative by deploying PROFESSIONALS who have the know-how to manage human and material resources to achieve desired goals, which will bring happiness to the state.
