Celebs Decry Uprise In Lagos Highway Robberies
Celebrities, including Soso Soberekon, Ayo Animashaun, Samklef, Iyabo Ojo, and Peter Okoye have expressed concerns over rising robberies on Lagos highways.
They demanded that measures be put in place to curb the robbery attacks.
The seeming menace became a source of worry after the CEO, of White Lion Group, Soso Soberekon was attacked in the traffic by highway robbers.
The music executive was lucky enough to escape from the horrible scene before taking to social media page to narrate his ordeal.
In an Instagram post, Soberekon declared war on traffic robbers while calling on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to find a lasting solution.
Reacting to Soso’s encounter, Hip TV boss, Ayo Animashaun said: “Sorry about this, we need to start looking for ways to protect ourselves. The government would not even visit your family over what should not have happened if they did their job.”
Ex-Big Brother Africa Housemate, Tayo Faniran wrote: “It’s those same thugs that beg us for money during the day that rob our people at night.
“Thank God you are safe but men gas to dey strap up, the fear be say the same useless cops that can not protect us could still attack a person wrongly if they find a gun on you, licensed or not. Na God hands we dey o.”
Music producer, Samklef also reacted, “ I hear say Nigeria no fit better again. Thank God for your safety.”
Actress Iyabo Ojo bslieves only God can protect everyone in Nigeria saying, “May God continue to protect us in this country.”
