2023: ACCORD Vows To Take Over Imo, Becomes Beautiful Bride For Agitated Politicians, Stakeholders
While the season of politicking is here at all layers, ACCORD, one of the Frontline political parties has vowed to take over Imo State Government come 2023.
This was rising from its general meeting, where notable politicians cross carpeting to the party vow to join hands with the party to uproot the present government in Douglas House.
The Chairman of the party, Elder ThankGod Ibe who briefed the newsmen after a crucial meeting regretted the suffering of the masses, saying that it as unacceptable.
Ibe insists that Imo State is wealthy enough to cater for its citizenry wandering the reason successive governments of Peoples Democratic party and All Progressives Congress have impoverished the people.
“We are happy our people have realized themselves. Today, we have men of goodwill, community leaders, politicians with trail of good nature and captains of industry identify with the party. Their decision is not unconnected with disappointments. We cannot afford to fail because our party is never run like a cult that doesn’t bother about the people but their slim partners in crime.
“We are charting a new course for the state. It is only in Imo State where Governors work without planning. It is only in the state that people clap over road rehabilitations, which should remain with the ministry of Works.
“Other well established governments steered by true leaders with requisite credentials plan, formulate policies before executing. Imo is the only State where appointees do not have schedul as they scatter like sheep without shepherd.
“Painfully, most structures raised with people’s hard earned funds in less than two two years have all collapsed while the once that look a bit standard have become tools to mortgage the future of the state with insatiable loans.
“Imo people can no longer tolerate this and they have all come to embrace the ideologies of ACCORD.
“We have warned those coming to our party to know that it is no longer business as usual. We are ready to spend resources to expose our incoming leaders to the latest Leadership skills coupled with the character of sacrifice and good conduct”.
The party also warns its Executive members at all levels not to fall for the reception of the wolves in sheep’s clothing.
