Sallah: Kano NUJ Congratulates Muslims, Urges Journalists To Promote Peace

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano State Council, on Monday, Sallah day, urged the Muslim community to thank Allah for witnessing yet another Eid-el- Fitri.The union noted that, as preparations for the 2023 general election commenced, politicians should adhere to the rules and regulations, to ensure peaceful polls.In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, and the Secretary, Comrade Abba Murtala, the union acknowledged the modest contributions of all security agencies in the fight against banditry and called for more efforts in tackling the problem.NUJ also called on all stakeholders to work towards addressing the current economic hardships in the country.Similarly, the union advised media practitioners to always be cautious of their ethical values and guard against negative tendencies, capable of tarnishing their reputation.On this auspicious day (Sallah), the union prayed for continued peace and stability in the country.
