*Topic:: Have no confidence in man.*

” _You are more righteous than I” he said. You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly”. 1 Samuel 24 : 17._

David, being well rooted in the word of God understood that man should not be trusted. King Saul developed hatred for David and sought to take away his life. But David did everything to run for his dear life. Finally, Saul became tired after pursuing David. It was then that David had opportunity to take away his enemy’s life. But he did not, for he knew that it was not good to touch the anointed. When king Saul was meant understand that David had opportunity to kill him but refused he wept and realized that David was Godly. Despite this confession by King Saul, David was careful not to be free with His enemy. David could not put confidence in the assurances of the king nor hope that his penitent condition would long continue. So when Saul returned to his home, David remained in the strongholds of the mountain.
As Children of God, we should not take any offer by the enemy, Satan. He may present ideas and situations as harmless. He may come to us inform of our friends wanting to give us cheap assistance such as exam malpractice and the rest. Let us learn to trust God and Him alone so that we shall have self confidence and confidence in God.

*Song* :
Nothing between my soul and the Saviour,
Naught of the world’s delusive dream:
I have renounced all sinful pleasure Jesus is mine! There is nothing between.
*Refrain*
Nothing between my Saul and my saviour, So that His blessed face may be seen; Nothing preventing the least of His favor: keep the way clear! Let nothing between.

*PRAYER*
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you so much for your word this morning that said have no confidence in man, I pray that the Holy Spirit will help us put our trust in God and depend only in Him in Jesus name Amen.
