2023: Gov. Hope Denies Rumour Mopping Up Forms, Advises Aspirants “Pursue Your Ambition There Is No Endorsement”

While rumour mill had it that Govenror Hope Uzodimma of Imo State had mopped up all available expression of interest forms to favour political family, He has challenged every member of state chapter of All Progressives Congress APC interested in contesting for any elective position to pursue his ambition without dropping his name for endorsement.

Uzodimma revealed this, Tuesday, in a meeting with APC chieftains and party executives.

This may not be unconnected with some publications making the rounds, alleging that prospective aspirants were waiting for his nod, before embarking on their quest to occupy elective positions, while other sources claim that he had

Uzodimma stated, “Go and buy your forms if you’re convinced that you want to contest. You do not need my approval to buy form. Pursue your own ambition.

“The decision whether to contest or not is your personal decision. Do not say that the Governor stopped you from contesting.

“Consider the local characteristics of your area if there is a zoning arrangement. Still show your commitment to the party if you did not succeed.

“Only the people will say who their candidate will be.

“There is no endorsement. Politics is driven by risks, those that has worked for the party will be rewarded.”
