2023 Presidency: Education minister, Emeka Nwajiuba resigns

Finally, one of the Ministers, Emeka Nwajiuba, MinisterOf State for Education, has resigned from office to pursue his presidential ambition.

Nwajiuba tendered his resignation on Wednesday after President Muhammadu Buhari issued a directive for all ministers and aides seeking elective offices in 2023 to resign before Monday.

The Imo State born politician has since purchased the APC presidential forms.

Others expected to resign from the cabinet include Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, transport minister Rotimi Amaechi, Niger-Delta minister, Godswill Akpabio, labour minister Chris Ngige, science and technology minister Ogbonnaya Onu, mines minister Uche Ogar and women affairs minister Pauline Tallen.

Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) who also has APC presidential forms and is currently in court seeking to be allowed to contest while in office may also have to resign.
