DEVELOPING STORY: School Children Feared Killed, Many Trapped After Kano Explosion

Many school children are feared killed, while many others are currently trapped after an explosion rocked Aba Road in the Sabon Gari area of Kano State.

Details of the incident are still sketchy, but some residents said that an explosive device went off in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 17th May.



One resident said a suicide bomber struck in the area, but this is yet to be independently verified.



According to reports, officials of the National Emergency Management Agency were at the scene packing what is suspected to be shattered body parts of the suspected suicide bomber.

A welder in front of Winners Schools, Kano, which is adjacent to the scene, was reportedly killed by the explosion.
