Security Expert Hails FG Over Nigerian Hunters Forest Bill

The Commander General of Nigerian Hunters Forest Security Service, Dr. Wole Joshua Osatimehin has commended the Federal Government for its vision to promote the establishment of the agency through legislative process.

The CG assured that staff of the institution would penetrate all forests and bushes across the nation’s 774 local government councils to dislodge terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements from their hideouts as soon as the bill inaugurating the security outfit gets presidential accent

The Commander General who was represented by the new Imo state Commander, Dr. Fabian Onyebuchi Iwuoha stressed that when inuagurated by by the Federal government, they would be mandated to take over all forests and bushes in the country.

According to him, the security outfit had already established presence in all the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, the 774 government councils to neutralize the diabolical operations of bandits and terrorists now holding the nation to ransom.



He stated this shortly after a funeral church service held in honour of a deceased member of the outfit –DC Collins Uchenna Theodore held at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church Alaenyi, Ogwa, Mbaitolu council area of Imo State.



His words, Now that the bill establishing the agency has passed third reading by the National Assembly. We are set to be in charge of all forests in the country and will work in synergy with all security agencies including the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS) to fight banditry in addition to curtailing the planting and consumption of Indian Hemp by the youths

The Commandant extolled the late Collins Uchenna Theodore, who he said was until his death, the Imo State Deputy Commander of the security outfit, as a dedicated hard working gallant officer who successfully and consistently led the patrol team into the bush.



“With our emergence, the era of kidnapping Nigerians and hiding them into the bush as well as armed robbery through the bush is now over” he boasted.



Earlier in his sermon, Rev. Canon Kingsley Uzoma of the Church of Pentecost Uratta, Owerri North council area extolled the Late Collins Uchenna Theodore as a gentle man of fine breeding who loved God and humanity.



Rev. Uzoma advised Christians to always live lives worthy of emulation to inherit the Kingdom of God.



The Priest who is also incharge of the Anglican Children Ministry (ACM) Diocese of Owerri who rested his sermon on the Gospel of St. John Chapter 3 verse 16 also urged Christians to always seek Jesus to receive salvation.
