Barr. Ikechukwu Nwaopara Successfully Screened, Says “Mbaitoli People Vote Quality Representation, Not Cash And Carry Gangs”
A strong contender to represent Mbaitoli State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Barr. Ikechukwu Nwaopara has declared that the people of Mbaitoli the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delegates are more interested in producing quality of representatives than selling their conscience for a porridge.
Nwaopara corrected the erroneous impression being bandied around shortly after he was successfully screened at the APC State Secretariat, Owerri, Imo State.
The fiery activist lawyer told newsmen that he has been inundated with calls over big purse for delegates, but was quick to defend the people of Mbaitoli, saying “my people vote their conscience”.
He however insisted he is more interested in appealing to APC delegates who understand that primary election is not an end in itself but a means to an end.
“I know that APC Members in Mbaitoli want to win and they must go to this electoral contest with their best. It is most sustainable to empower a representative who understands what to do at any point in time; They understand what it means to protect their interest and I, too, understand it”.
He, therefore, insists that he would do whatever that is desirable, which he said is to present himself and yield to the yearnings of the delegates and Mbaitoli people in general.
Meanwhile, he said he will now face the delegates squarely on issues that border on collective interest of Mbaitoli and the state at large.
