IMO ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2023: GOV. Uzodimma Disappoints Name Droppers, Says He Has Not Endorsed Any Aspirants

– As Mbaitoli Aspirant Withdraws

Contrary to the believe that Governor Uzodimma of Imo State has announted some aspirants for Imo Assembly election, the Governor has denied it.

Governor Uzodimma cleared the air while addressing All Progressives Congress House of Assembly Aspirants in Government House.

He told them that ‘I have not endorsed anybody neither am I interested in producing any consensus, everybody should go to the field.

He also insisted that micro-zoning arrangements should be observed.

Meanwhile, some of the aspirants from Mbaitoli State Constituency had been aghast over claims that Governor Uzodimma had endorsed his former aide, Innocent Ikpamezie.

Following this name dropping, one of the frontline aspirants, Chimaraoke Oparaugo gave up his ambition on the grounds that he cannot contest with whom the Governor has endorsed.

Rather than spend his money, he dumped APC for APGA to seek a way of realising his ambition.

Hon. Ikpamezie Innocent was touted as the Governor’s crowned Prince to represent Mbaitoli State Constituency in the state house of Assembly but with the development, his political gimmick may have been dashed.
