IMO APC PRIMARY ELECTION FALLOUT: Hon. Jahn Ezenwa Campaign Organisation Insists There Was No Election For Ahiazu State Constituency

Following the outcry over alleged irregularities and undemocratic procedures through undeserved persons are wrongfully parading themselves as Standard Bearers of the party.

Hon. Jahn Ezenwa Campaign Organisation has bemoaned the shenanigans that transpired in Ahiazu-Mbaise Local Government Area, saying there neither election nor was zoning arrangements were observed.

In a statement signed by Dr Emma Anyanwu, Head, Media and Publicity, he insisted that no one declared anybody winner, expressing surprise that one Sam Otuibe is parading himself as the candidate for the party.

He, however, put the records straight, saying that at no time did Governor announce anyone as consensus candidate since Governor Hope Uzodimma never called any meeting to that effect…

PRESS RELEASE!

Our attention has been drawn to a press release issued by one Mr. Uchenna Anyanwu for Otuibe campaign organization.The poorly scripted lies ordinarily wouldn’t have attracted any reactions from us but for our teeming supporters who have continued to pressure us to put the record straight. It is on that note we’ve chosen to state thus!

1.That there was no Primaries held in Ahiazu Mbaise or anything similar to that for the State House of Assembly on Thursday 26th May 2022, as the Party Delegates waited endlessly for the Electoral Committee,but all to no avail.

2. That the fowl play that bedevilled our great party APC in Ahiazu Mbaise with particular reference to the State House of Assembly Primaries is mind blowing despite all attempts and efforts to ensure we have a free and fair primaries in readiness for the General Elections.

3.The act of desperation demonstrated in this process calls for a Re_think and condemnation, for one to declare himself Winner of ,’No Contest’ is not only undemocratic but ungodly, as we all sincerely know there was no Primaries held in Ahiazu.

4.That the Governor had in the Stakeholders meeting of all House Assembly Aspirants earlier held at the EXCO Chambers of Govt House directed as follows..

(I)Zoning must be respected and anyone contesting against the zoning arrangement should withdraw.

(II) Any aspirant with Criminal Record should withdraw.

5.Based on these directives, one ordinarily expected Hon Sam Otuibe who is a product of zoning, to respect the zoning agreement between Ahiara and Ekwerazu, to step down and allow Ekwerazu whose turn it is to produce the next Assembly member, just like some of his colleagues did like Hon Mrs Uju Onwudiwe of Isu and Member representing ihitte uboma state Constituency.

6. But to the astonishment of all Men and Women of Good Will,Hon Otuibe started dropping name of our Executive Governor that His Excellency has given him ticket on that faithful Thursday 26th May 2022.

7.Consequently, the Leaders and Delegates of our great party APC, in Ahiazu Mbaise has expressed dissatisfaction and surprise the way Hon Otuibe has been parading himself as the flag bearer of our Party APC.

8.Let it be put on records that at no time did Hon JAHN EZENWA withdrew for Hon Otuibe either orally or in writing, as stipulated by the Electoral Law as regards to Consensus Method of producing a Candidate. The Party constitution is clear on how to produce consensus candidates.

9.Therefore, for one to neglect the existing zoning arrangement between Ahiara and Ekwerazu, thereby undermining the political strength of Ekwerazu Clan that has 7 wards against Ahiara with 5 wards ,is not only dangerous but suicidal, thereby leaving the opposition that zoned the candidates to Ekwerazu to have an easy way.

10.Furthermore, since Rt,Hon.Nnanna Igbokwe who has democratically emerged as the party’s flag bearer for Ahiazu Ezinihitte Fed Constituency is from same ward with Otuibe, it will be foolhardy to believe that two of them will win the general elections. Its rather the most unstrategic approach to allow Ekwerazu who has the majority of the votes to be empty with no elective position leaving our great party at the risk PROTEST VOTES.

11.We therefore call on our Amiable Governor , His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma and our State Chairman, Sir Macdonald Ebere PhD, to quickly intervene on the impending calamity that might befall our Party APC, in Ahiazu, if proper care is not taken.
