Robbers Attack ,Robb Abuja Politician’s House In Abuja
A large number of gunmen yesterday invaded Efab Queens Estate in the Gwarinpa Federal Housing area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The assailants broke into through the estate’s rear end at about 3 am and went for the unnamed male politician’s apartment.
His younger brother was injured, while such household items as plasma TV sets, iPads, and phones were carted away, it was said.
This is the third time the politician’s house would be attacked.
According to a source, when a policeman at the estate was asked to engage the robbers, he refused, choosing to release a shot in the air.
But when the robbers took to their heels, other policemen joined the chase.
Police spokesperson Josephine Adeh said nobody was kidnapped in the estate, adding that reports of bandits attack were false.
She said when operatives of the Command arrived at the estate, the robbers took to their heels, whereupon “gallant operatives gave them a chase which led to their abandoning some items they had stolen including some phones and laptops.
