Chief Nwachukwu made the call while featuring on a Radio programme on Ozisa FM Owerri, Imo State.
He said his interest to represent the zone in the national assembly is not unconnected with the zeal he has to join other good spirited patriotic legislators to make laws and to ensure that Imo States gets its fare share in the appropriation and other fiscal considerations.
Responding when the Anchor, Theodore Nonso asked him about those bulldozing their way into other parties to hide under a certain candidate, he simply said: “Our people have become more conscious. The next election is about your antecedent and capacity and not about party”.
He also stressed how All Progressives Congress and People’s Democratic Party have disappointed and embarrassed Nigerians, thereby leaving Nigerians with no choice than to vote people with proven strength of character and leadership qualities.
He expressed gladness over the reawakening being witnessed among the youths who want to change the narrative by registering for their voters card to empower themselves to vote out the misfits in political positions.
The ACCORD Senatorial Candidate also urged Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the date for the PVC, saying that nobody should be denied or disenfranchised.
