 *TOPIC: YOUR SON LIVES*

“ _Then Jesus saith unto him except you see signs and wonders you will not believe, go your way, your son lives. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him and he went his way” John 4:48,50_

Have you ever felt the pains of someone around you almost dying from a sickness? Maybe the person is about giving up the last breath yet the doctor has not showed up?

It is always a dreadful situation. So was the experience of a noble man whose son was sick at Capernaum. He came and begged Jesus to come heal his son who was at the point of death. Instead of following him to his house immediately, Jesus wanted to prove the faith of the nobleman and saith unto him “Except you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.” However, the nobleman pleaded with him more that he should come and heal his son before he dies. On establishing the implicit faith of the nobleman, Jesus saith to him, “Go your way, your son lives. The nobleman believed the word that Jesus said and went away.

Children, do you really believe on the promises of Jesus concerning your life? Doubting the word of God shows that there is no faith in us and that is very dangerous to our spiritual life. The word of God is sure and true, so also are His promises to us.

The servants of the nobleman met him on his way and gave him the good news “Your son lives” and he found out that the sickness left him exactly at the same time Jesus had said to him, “Your son lives”. He and his whole family, therefore, believed in Jesus.

 *Thought Reflections:*

Has there been anytime you meant to believe on the word of God or that your prayers has been heard by God and another thought comes into you to convince you that those are not true? This shows doubt or lack of faith.

Faith is believing on what you have not yet seen, having the full assurance that God has heard or answered your requests even when you have not seen or experienced it.

 *Song*

Encamped along the hills of light,

Ye Christian soldiers, rise,

And press the battle ere the night

Shall veil the glowing skies.

Against the foe in vales below,

Let all our strength be hurled;

Faith is the victory, we know,

That overcomes the world.

 *Refrain*

Faith is the victory!

Faith is the victory!

Oh, glorious victory

That overcomes the world.

 *Prayer*

Dear Father, you are worthy of our praises. Hallowed be your name forever. Please, Lord help us to have the faith of the nobleman. Just to believe and take you by your word. Father, forgive us our lack of faith in the past and may you increase faith now, oh Lord, we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
