Anguish As Fire Razes Auto Parts Market In Apapa
It was a precarious situation as fire razed spare-parts market in Akere, Olodi Apapa area of Lagos, rendering shop and business owners helpless and utterly confused.
According to witness, the inferno, which completely razed the spare parts market as even blocks were melted to mere sands was said to have begun by 2 am.
When NewsTrack Nigeria’s reporter visited the scene, nobody could ascertain the cause of the fire and at the time of filing this report, the cause was still unknown.
The witness who simply gave his name as Ekene said efforts to get the fire service to reach the area proved abortive as no help was in site.
Meanwhile, some sympathisers attributed the unfortunate incident to the raging political fireworks and allegation that Igbo are against Yorubas.
Coincidence of the fire outbreak, some have accused the ruling APC, Imo State chapter.
