Obi’s Lawyers Know The Law, Some Of Them Have Called Me That They’re Lying About Section 134 -Festus Keyamo

Festus Keyamo (SAN), the Minister of State, Labour and Employment and also a spokesperson of the APC presidential campaign council, has alleged that some of the legal teams of the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi have called him on the phone earlier to tell him that that fully understand that Section 134 of the electoral act, but they are just lying and trying to do their work.

Festus Keyamo who spoke in an interview with Channels Television explained that the law didn’t say for a president to be elected, he must compulsorily have 25 percent in FCT, rather the law only said that the president can get at least 25% votes in 24 states excluding the FCT, or 25% votes in 23 states and FCT, which now makes it altogether, 24 states.

Festus Keyamo alleged that Peter Obi who got only 25 percent in less than 24 states wants to rub shoulder with Bola Tinubu who got 25 percent in at least 30 states. He also alleged that some of the lawyers that Peter Obi hired knows the interpretation of the law very well and they have even called him to tell him they are lying about section 134.

He said, “Obi’s lawyers know the law, some of them have called me that they’re lying about section 134. Peter Obi was the worst, he got 25 percent in 17 states and now he want to rub shoulder with us that didn’t make 25 percent in FCT and 6 other states. I am happy about the petitions of the Labour Party because those issues we shouted and tried to explain to Nigerians during the elections, that these things were useless allegations, you will hear from their judiciary and their lawlord loud and clear now, when they give their judgements”.
