TOPIC: NOTHING BUT CHRIST ALONE .

But, as it is written, “What no eyes has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”- these things God has revealed to us through the spirit. For the spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2 v 9,10.

When David was going to fight Goliath, no man imagined that David could kill Goliath, for no man have ever seen a child kill a giant and great warrior before in the battle field.
When Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal in mount Carmel, no man imagined that fire could come down from heaven to consume the sacrifice of Elijah by only prayer because no eye have seen or any ear heard that fire could ignite on soaked wood in a tranche water. Even the sacrifice of Abel was not on a wet wood. It baffled the Babylonians to see that the Lions could not devour Daniel in the lion’s den, because they have never seen or heard of it anywhere. Neither could they imagine that the three Hebrew boys could be saved in the burning furnace when those that threw them there were burned by the fire. The great people of Jericho could not believe that the wall of Jericho will fall down flat because the Israelites walked around it seven days and then blow the trumpet, because they have never seen it happen before neither have they heard it happen anywhere.
It have never been heard or seen by the Romans that only songs and praise can break the chains and prison gates, so it baffled them that the songs and praises of Paul and Silas could open the prison gates and lose their chains.
It baffled the Israelites that Christ can raise the dead, make the blind to see, make water to turn to wine, heal the sick, make the lame to walk and feed the five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fishes with so many left over basket.
All these were made possible by the power of God for those who love and believe in Him. The bible said that we cannot love two masters at a time.
So if we must experience the great love of Christ we must recognize that nothing but Christ alone can save us or show us such wonderful love.

Thoughts for reflection
Beyond Jesus’ salvation for us by way of the cross, God has plans for us that are almost too wonderful for words, and can only be experienced by trusting in Him. The human mind cannot fully grasp the marvelous blessings God has in store for His children. Even the most incredible wonders we can dream up fade before the realities God has planned for those who love and follow Him. We know it will be the most incredible experience of our lives to be with the Lord in heaven, but for now, we can only imagine how outstanding it will be.

SONG
Not I, but Christ, be honored, loved, exalted;
Not I, but Christ, be seen, be known, be heard;
Not I, but Christ, in every look and action,
Not I, but Christ, in every thought and word.
