Inter Milan Sinks AC Milan 1-0 (3-0 agg) In Euro Champions League

• Inter Milan beat city rivals AC Milan 1-0 (3-0 on aggregate) to book a place in the Champions League final for the first time since 2010.
• Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez combined with Romelu Lukaku to score the winning goal in the 74th minute.
• Inter will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final in Istanbul on June 10.

• Another standout performance from Andre Onana
• Crucial to Inter’s advance through the competition this year has been rock-solid defences at the back. Onana has kept a miraculous eight clean sheets during the Nerazzurri’s campaign – the record, most reached by Edouard Mendy for Chelsea, is nine. 
• As per Rio Ferdinand for BT Sport: ‘As a modern day goalkeeper, he’s top class. Takes the ball under pressure, doesn’t panic, brings the team on to him to create space for his other players, plays over the press as well. He was fabulous tonight and they’re going to need him to have a big performance if they’re going to win.’

After beating Barcelona in the semi-finals to deny the Blaugrana the sheer joy of contesting for a Champions League title on their loathed rivals’ home turf, Jose Mourinho scored his second UCL trophy at the Santiago Bernabeu after his side snatched a 2-0 victory from Bayern Munich to seal their treble – and their first European championship since 1965. 

But who will Inter meet in the final?

That’s a tale for tomorrow’s live blog, but Manchester City will certainly fancy themselves up to the challenge after Real Madrid were unable to claim an early advantage. With the Etihad behind them, Pep Guardiola’s side will have an extra edge that they’ll hope will counter Los Blancos’ frankly unbelievable Champions League form.
