*TOPIC: DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE

And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.1 Corinthians 11:24

Christ has instituted this service that it may speak to our senses of the love of God that has been expressed in our behalf. The ordinances that point to our Lord’s humiliation and suffering are regarded too much as a form. They were instituted for a purpose. Our senses need to be quickened to lay hold of the mystery of godliness. It is the privilege of all to comprehend, far more than we do, the expiatory sufferings of Christ.

Thought For Reflection:
How well as followers do we remember the significance of Christ sacrifice and suffering? How well do we carry out His biddings? For we are more than privileged to be partakers of His suffering which is an extension of God’s Love to humanity.

Song
King of my life I crown thee now
Thine shall the glory be
Less I forget thy thorn crown brow
Lead me to Calvary
Chorus
Less I forget Gethsemane
Less I forget thine agony
Less I forget thy love for me
Lead me to Calvary.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of everlasting life through your son Jesus Christ. Thank you for helping me to believe on Him who You sent to give me life through His death on the cross. I pray O Lord that You sustain my faith in You. Instill in my heart thy word, that I will always remember for your love. I pray with thanks in Jesus name, Amen.
