Otti Has Begun Well, Abians Should Show Patience, Encouragement – Eddie Asiegbu

Abia born businessman and politician, Chief Eddy Asiegbu has commended Governor Alex Otti of Abia State for his focus and determination to salvage what he described a dying State of Abia.

Chief Asiegbu made the statement while speaking with our correspondent in Umuagia.

Asiegbu hailed Dr. Otti for his resolve to to bring professionals into governance in his bid to change the narrative in the state.

He said Otti living up to his promises has begun well by first cleaning the shameful heaps and mountains of filth that covered a lot spaces in the state.

“Aba one time internationally recognised business and industrial hub became the world filth heaven but has been changed overnight.

“Port-Harcourt road and other adjoining roads used to house a Multi-Billion business and industrial establishments but for recklessness and total lack of vision, those business areas became totally obliterated because of infrastructural decay, unattained refuse dumps that totally blocked the road against the motorists, thereby hampering movement of goods and delivering necessary services where they are needed.

‘We all observed. Though there was a heavy down pour on the day of clean-up Abia Flag-Off, Dr. Otti personally went their to ensure the job begins, defying the extreme weather.

“I, therefore, encourage on those who have been appointed into the cabinet to show some support by being creative, diligent and discharging their duties without any fear or favour.

“I also encourage fellow Abians to be patient with Governor Otti. He has come to work and I know that in no distant time, he would put the state back on the path of growth and development,” he states.
