Anambra Govt Shuts Hotel Where “Clubbers” Murdered Miss Awuda In Cold Blood
As expected, report has it that Anambra State government has sealed off Cosmila Hotel in Awka, the state capital, following the news of the gruesome killing of one Miss Chinyere Awuda by her assailants.
Information has it that the incident happened last weekend during a birthday party of a friend of the fun seekers in the facility.
According to an account by a source who pleaded anonymity, some people accused Awuda of picking and pocketing the money sprayed on the celebrant by her friends, while another account had it that she had stolen some money meant to be sprayed and made to escape before she was apprehended.
Police authorities in the state have confirmed that the celebrant and his friends who were accused of beating the girl to death and dumping her body in a pool have been arrested.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment, Hon Don Onyeji, said the hotel has been sealed.
He said: “Yes, we have visited the hotel, and also sealed it off.
“We are in touch with the Police, who are already investigating the matter and the facility will remain sealed, pending the outcome of police investigation.”
