Topic: HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME
Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ. Ephesians 3:8
Paul spoke to the Ephesians about the grace of God made manifest through Christ. Paul was a beneficiary of this grace and it empowered him in his missionary work. Paul preached the boundless riches and love of Christ to the Gentiles and made plain to them the truth about Jesus. Those who have experienced the love of Christ will have the freedom and confidence to approach God and witness for Him. Paul enjoins us not to be discouraged in the face of difficulties and challenges as he prays for the church. As believers, we are beneficiaries of God’s grace, therefore in the midst of life’s challenges; we must not lose hope, we must remain connected to Christ and evangelize for Him. Through us, the wisdom of God will be revealed to the world.
There is a story of a woman and her little son who lived in a remote south east village. The woman lost her husband few months after the birth of her son. One day she attended a Seventh day Adventist church crusade and before the end of the two weeks evangelism programme, she received Jesus and was baptized. Her relatives were not happy with her and they rejected her. Life became difficult for her and her baby but this woman will not stop preaching Jesus to her friends and neighbours. Because of the difficulties she faced, the Seventh day Adventist church where she worshipped began to support her financially. Her son went to school and eventually graduated as a Medical Doctor. The woman and her son have been sources of inspiration to those around them. People rejected her but Jesus accepted her. God will always be with His children and through us the wisdom of God will be revealed to the rulers. Amen.
Song
I’ve found a friend; oh, such a Friend
He loved me ere I knew Him;
He drew me with the cords of love,
And thus He bound me to Him.
And round my heart still closely twine
Those ties which nought can sever,
For I am His, and He is mine,
Forever and forever
Prayer
Dear Lord, I thank you very immensely for making it possible for me to see the light of this day. Thank you for your loving kindness unto me. Have mercy on me Lord and forgive all my sins and transgressions. Teach me to do your will. Lord grant me the grace and courage to preach your word and love to the world in Jesus name. Amen.
