Uzodimma Wandering About, Begging For Endorsements To Save Face – PDP Guber Candidate, Senator Anyanwu

Ekene Amajuoyi, Owerri

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has described the purported endorsement of Hope Uzodinma by faceless groups as mere drama and damage control, adding that no popular government beg for endorsement.

Anyanwu disclosed this while addressing 2019 Interim Management Committee (IMC) members at the campaign office, along Okigwe road, Owerri, the Imo state capital.

He maintained that while the APC government in the state is struggling and desperately working to secure frivolous endorsements from groups unknown to Imo people, other state Governors are busy working for the development of their states.

According to him, why the Uzodinma led APC administration is finding it difficult to secure the consent and acceptance of Imo masses is because his government is so unpopular and unacceptable to the entire citizens of the state.

Anyanwu therefore wondered how a government Uzodinma got through a “Ben Johnson” way could receive support or expect applause from Imo people, when it has blatantly failed to restore peace, security and good governance.

Speaking on behalf of his members, State Coordinator of the 2019 IMC members, Hon Bolton Igboanugo (Owerri Municipal) said that they came to interface with the party’s Governorship candidate as part of efforts to secure the state from the stranglehold of insecurity and bad leadership.

Hon Igboanugo regretted that a government of PDP that would have changed the entire shape of the state for good was truncated through a widely condemned court judgement, expressing optimism that the PDP stolen mandate would be recovered in the November 11 election.

He therefore called on his members and Imo people at large to join hand with the party and its candidates, Senator Anyanwu and Rt Hon Onyereri to make Imo Safe Again, adding that once that was done, the lost glory of the state would be revived and be strengthened.
