BREAKING: Yet-To-Be Identified Gunmen Kill Eight Soldiers, Policemen, Set Them Ablaze In Imo

While Imo State has continued on the path of a failed State, the report has it that no fewer than eight security operatives comprising soldiers, policemen and Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps have been gruesomely killed by yet-to-be apprehended gunmen in the State.

The mindless killing, which happened on Tuesday morning in Umualumaku community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state has caused pandemonium in the area as the rural dwellers are abandoning their homes for the fear of reprisal from the security agencies.

According to sources, the joint security taskforce team on patrol were in two security trucks when they ran into an ambush laid by their assailants. They were killed and set ablaze by the unknown hoodlums.

According to sources, there was no survivor as they were callously burnt in their operational vehicles.

According sources, security agencies have reinforced and sent troops to the scene of the crime with the intent to arrest the suspects and rescue the corpses of the slain security operative.

A video that had gone viral shows the gory photo of the burning vehicles and the operatives as the unseen witness at the community was shouting and raising the alarm over the tragic incident.

When NewsTrack Nigeria called the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, for confirmation, he did not pick his call.

But the Punch reports that the PPRO confirmed the development but asked for time to get the full details of the horrible incident.
