JUST IN: Abia Guber Election Petition Tribunal Struck 4 PDP’s Motions Against Otti
At the ongoing ruling of the Abia State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, the Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, has struck out two of the motions by the Petitioner, Chief Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Gov. Alex Otti of the Labour Party (LP).
The dismissed motions were said to be incompetent.
Some of the issues struck out were attempt by the Petitioners to introduce new issues, and attempt to repeat themselves.
Meanwhile, the panel is still reading its judgment for the determination of the entire petition including the petition by High Chief Ikechi Emenike of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The tribunal started reading its judgment t exactly 9:58 a.m..
This was after the counsel to the various parties announced their appearances, and the initial formalities were done.
The court premises it filled to its full capacity as everyone listened with keen interest and dead silence except accidental phone ringing, forcing the panel to warn against such disorderliness.
Labour Party Chairman, Ceekay Igara; Member representing Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South federal constituency, Hon Ginger Onwusibe (LP), among others were sighted in the court room.
PDP chieftains including former Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Esomonu, Barrister Iroh were also sighted in the court. (Based on Vanguard reports)
