Topic: The Hope of Resurrection

But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Did you know that Jesus rose from the dead? It’s true! And because Jesus rose again, we can have hope that we will also be resurrected one day.

When someone who believes in Jesus dies, we don’t call it death, but sleep. Just like when we go to bed at night, we know we’ll wake up in the morning, those who believe in Jesus will also wake up one day. Isn’t that amazing?

We should never be sad or hopeless when someone who loves Jesus dies. Instead, we can celebrate because we know that at the trumpet sound, when Jesus returns, they will arise and go to be with Jesus in heaven. We can also have hope that one day, we will see them again.

As Christians, we are very lucky. We know the secret to what happens after we die. We know that even if we die, Jesus will bring us back to life.

So, let’s work hard to live for Jesus every day. Let’s remember that whether we are alive or asleep, resurrection is certain for those who believe in Him.

Thought for Reflection:
As Christians, we have the amazing hope of resurrection. We know that even if we die, Jesus will bring us back to life. Isn’t that incredible? Let’s remember this hope every day and live for Jesus with all our hearts.

Song
I’ll Live for Jesus day after day
I’ll Live for Jesus, O come what may
The Holy Spirit, I will obey
l’ll Live for Jesus day after day.

Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for the hope of resurrection. We are grateful that we don’t have to fear death because we know that you will bring us back to life. Help us to live for you each day and share this hope with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
