Gowon Reacts To Death Rumour, Says, I’m Still Around And, Not In A Hurry To Leave This Earth

Contrary to social media reports, former Nigerian Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (Rtd), is not dead.

The Personal Aide to General Gowon, Adeyeye Ajayi in a terse message to newsmen on Monday said the former head of state is alive and well.

“I am still around and well. I am not in a hurry” (to leave this earth), Ajayi wrote.
