Mr. Okoronkwo said: “His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma ‘s re-election victory did not come to us as a surprise because he walked the talk.

“Let me use this opportunity to also commend the good people of Imo State, especially the electorates who considered the effort of our Governor in uplifting the infrastructural facilities in the state.

“My athletes, fans, and sports enthusiasts, I must thank you all for keeping your promise. We came to you, you heard us and spoke loudly at the ballots.

“I want to assure them that Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has much more to do for the youths; in the area of sports and empowerment.

“And for the opposition, we urge them to take their loss in good faith and learn from the process because we believe everyone must have a justifiable reason to govern the state.

“His Excellency as we all know would always be magnanimous in victory. We ask others to join him in the project of uplifting our people even as the Governor continues his life-changing policies and programmes for the people.

“For the members of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC), it is a victory for democracy, you all worked tirelessly for this victory; you reminded our people at the grassroots of the good work of the Governor and the results are there for all to see.

“We shall all remain focused and determined to play our role in bringing to fruition all the good plans our Governor has incubated for the State, ” he concluded.
